What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain After Eating?
Hello,
I was in a car accident on 4/13/11. About a week after when I eat it sometimes causes extreme pain in my upper stomach area and shoots thru the ribs either on just one rib or both, then about 30 - 45 mins later it moves to below the belly button above the pelvic bone (sometimes feels like ovary pain) some days it involves gas and lately it has been followed w/ diarrehea that is dark black in color. Curious if I should be concerned w/ it being after the accident. The ER did an upper right ultra sound and ct scan of the upper stomach and everything looked good. Just curious, tysm :)

1.The may or may not related to the accident which happened in 2011.
2.It could be a fresh pathology. Similar symptoms are seen in acute gastro-enteritis / gallbladder pathologies / renal problems / gastritis.
3.To narrow down the diagnosis if you are my patient i would ask for an ultrasound scan - and start treatment accordingly.
4.I would recommend you to get an appointment with your GP and get the needful investigations done.
5.At the same time the doctor will looking o the related issues with your accident.
