What Causes Unusual Weight Gains?

Hi,
For two days I've been dizzy and nauseous, and for some reason I keep burping like I have stomach gas. From time to time I also feel unusually warm, like I have a fever. LAtely I've gained a lot of weight with no real reason or change in my lifestyle or diet (like , lbs in months or so.) Any ideas?

Hi,

If you are gaining weight despite eating fewer calories and maintaining your usual amount of physical activity, then it is possible that there is an underlying medical condition which is causing unexplained weight gain.

It can be in your genes and there are hereditary reasons for weight gain at a particular age.

If you are a female then considering polycystic ovarian syndrome is important and this causes weight gain in a woman in reproductive age group due to hormone imbalances.

There can also be a cause in the thyroid causing weight gain. Hypothyroidism can cause weight gain and laziness and this will be reflected in thyroid function tests should you have it.

It is best you consult your doctor to know the cause of your weight gain and have it treated on time.
