What Causes Unresolved Back Pain?

I fell when playing football when I was 15 I am 34 this year and my back has been hurting me all this time, I tried seeing a doctor but I was first told it was growing pains, well I was 6'3 and never had growing pains before and only grew one more inch after that when I was 17. Then I was told it was poor posture, then after that it was week back muscles yet I played football at least 4 times a week and before I injured my back I could do 100 situps no problem but since the injury can barely do 5. now if I goto the doctor since I gave up playing football which was my only excercise I have put on about 6st and the doctors just say it's my weight and week back muscles, I saw a chiropractor that was giving free back checks where I work and he used some kind of sensor on my neck which is supposed to show the nerve signal and one one side of the scale it went off the charts. Also when my back is really hurting me if I can band backwards far enoughwith something bracing me my back will click and I will be in imense pain for a couple of minutes and then all the pain is gone for a while.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem is most likely due to injury to intervertebral disc or herniation of it.An orthopedic examination and a X ray followed by MRI if needed will rule out the condition. For such cases i advice NSAIDs like aceclofenac muscle relaxants like thiocolchicoside and neurotropic drugs initially and send them to physiotherapy along with this. If there is no improvement or injury is severe then a surgical correction can be considered. Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further queries.
