Hello,

You must get evaluated. Your blood pressure is definitely on the higher side. Are you taking any other medications apart from Metoprolol? Another thing I want to suggest you get your renal arterial doppler done? As you have a history of atherosclerosis, then there is a high chance that your other blood vessels also being atherosclerosis. If there is atherosclerosis in renal arteries, it can also result in uncontrolled hypertension.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Puneet Mahajan
