My whole body twitches, jumps at night when im relaxing and when sleeping its like im about to jump out my skin.I wake up every morning with my hands shaking I can hardly hold a cup.I do suffer from anxiety but this is new and seems to be getting worse. What can I do?
Hello, Your full medical history and a current physical examination is my first recommendation. This should include a basic blood test that would disclose any systemic disorders or deficiencies that need your attention. Twitching and muscle reactions could raise the need for additional diagnostic testing including exams with a specialist such as a neurologist. Immediate evaluation of your diet, exercise and sleep habits should be considered. Reduce all caffeine intake. Avoid high caffeine foods and drinks. Avoid diuretics that dehydrate your body. Includes limiting sweets. Increase your intake of Magnesium, Omega 3, and vitamin C. Make sure that you are not dehydrated. Consume lots of water! Maintain a balanced diet. Your lifestyle should include exercise and plenty of sleep. If your symptoms persist or worsen, you will be advised on additional steps or testing needed to make a proper diagnosis. I hope my suggestions help you feel better soon. Thank you for your inquiry.
