What Causes Twitching In My Left Temple?

Hi, I keep getting a twitching in my left temple. It doesn t hurt and I don t feel any pain but just quite annoying. It s a similar feeling to having a twitching nerve in your eye. Just wondered what it could be and how to get rid of it. I also have had a stiff neck over the last couple of days not sure if it s related. Thanks

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that you are having tics or myoclonus. This is involuntary contraction of muscles and it usually involves eye lid. If you are having this since long time than I would recommend you following.
1. Tablet Chlorpromazine helps in such tics.
2. hot water fomentation
3. Rich salt intake in food like taking salty lemonade.
4. Rubbing that part with oil.
I hope your eye lids will become normal after this. Let ,e know if there is any other follow up questions.
thanks
