What Causes Twinges Under The Bottom Of Left Rib?
Yes I was just wondering about my mum she complains alot about what she describes as twinges just under the bottom of her left rib cage. She went to the doctor and they said it was menopause but it just cant be now a year or two later its flared up and she cant eat sleep or move without feeling pressure around that area. Her new doctor said its something to do with her small intestine so I m wondering exactly what he might be thinking it is?...

I can understand your concern.
Twinges under left rib cage can be due to heart on stomach related problems. I don't think it is intestinal problem.
And post menopausal women are at increased risk for heart diseases because of low estrogen and progesterone. So better to first rule out heart diseases.
So consult doctor and get done ecg and 2d.
If both are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases.
Sometimes acute gastritis cancer also cause similar symptoms.
So give her antacid like pantoprazole on empty stomach. Ask her too avoid stress and tension, hot and spicy food and junk food.
Don't worry, she will be alright.
