What Causes Tissue Like Discharge During Menstruation?
Hello, I recently went onto birth control about a month ago (the pill) I had brown spotting for a while and thought that my period was going to come. Today I had extremely painful cramps and when I went to the bathroom I noticed that I was bleeding a lot so I thought it was my period. Later on in te day when I went to go take out my tampon I noticed a pink, flesh looking like, discharge, it kind of looks like the tisse inside of your mouth with blood spots on it also. Also, I am 19 years old. Do you know what this can be?

This could just be a side effect of the pill and the tissue you have seen is most probably just a collective tissue of your endometrium which is the inner lining of the uterus.
Do not worry, and report to youe doctor if the bleeding continues to be heavy.
