hi.. thanks for writing... i have understood your concerns.. you have complaints of constant tiredness and poor memory and recall, so it seems to me as a part of long lasting depression..i dont know whether u have consulted a psychatrist or not? if not.. then u shud consult one... the depression can cause, lethargy, apathy, poor concentration and thats why poor recall and memory.. it may cause negative feelings in mind and thoughts of ending one s life... modafinil is activating drug..it does not cause sedation and tiredness..which is used in many sleep disorders where day time sleepiness is there...it is also used to increase concentration..but in your case the cause is depression then modafinil alone can not work...u shud take antidepressant medication those who are not sedating.. in my opinion, u shud consult your treating psychiatrist and tell your detailed symptoms and memory problems..also ask if u require a antidepressant or not? and follow his advice.. i hope u ll find this advice helpful..best luck..
