Hi... I m Bipin Pawar... Age 25.. From last 8-10 days I m suffering some type of noise in my left ear. (Just like pressure cooker sound). I have just completed my audiometry test. Doctor advised me Tab. Absolute 3G. Is it cure my disease? Please give me suggestion.
Hi, you are having tinnitus for which the cause can be many and many a times no specific cause can be found out. But as your history is very short and if your audiometry is not showing any sensori-neural hearing loss, the chances of Eustachian tube blockade can also be considered. What you have been prescribed is something which supposedly gives strength to the nerves. That means that your audiometry did show some nerve deafness which must have been minimal. Otherwise, if it is normal, you can use decongestant nasal drops for few days along with mucolytics. That should take care of Eustachian tube blockade. If things do not improve, please see an ENT and there are different drugs which can be used for this although it is doubtful if any of these definitely give improvement in all the patients. Regards
