What Causes Tingling Sensation On Left Side Of The Face?

I have tingling sensation on left side of face: nose; cheekbone; and lower cheek. I also have some kind of infection on the outside of my nose. I thought I had a pimple and popped it. Today, that area is covered with dried pus. I popped it again and pus came out. I now have 2 bumps (pimples?) near that one. It is slightly red. I am going in to see the doctor tomorrow because I was worried about some pain in my right chest area. It could be acid reflex but it is primarily on the right side. My left eye is itchy and feels as if there is a splinter or something in there. I used a neti pot and put hydrogen peroxide on my nose. The tingling is getting worse. My question is can I wait til tomorrow morning.

hello
i can understand your concern....
well the description given by you clearly indicates that you have developed a condition called as SHINGLES i.e a viral infection known as herpes zoster infection....you dont need to worry but the key points to take care here is time i.e dont wait as early diagnosis and early initiation of treatment by a antiviral drug called as TABLET ACYCLOVIR is the key to the final outcome and time taken to resolve the condition....you should visit a dermatologist asap....diagnosis is made by----
(1) just by looking at visible lesions a experienced dermatologist can easily confirm the diagnosis by just looking at the lesions
(2) another way of making diagnose is preparing TZANK smear from the lesions made from lesion and visualised under microscope to confirm
(3) blood test includes detection of IGM Antibodies agains the causative virus
(4) some other highly sensitive tests r also available but these r usually not required as diagnosis is mainly clinical
Treatment---- antiviral drug ACYCLOVIR should be started orally witin 72 hours of the appearance of the first lesions/rashes....along with this some analgesics and topical creams are also used for pain n unpleasent sensation
i hope with all the relevent information i have provided u above, you should waste no more time n move immedietly to a good dermatologist for initiating the things....
all the very best n dont worry you will be very well soon....god bless u
regards.....
