What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Neck And Shoulder?

I am 72 and recently started to have tingling in my neck, shoulder and sometimes arm on right side. I think it is nerve damage. It is hard to sleep on right side. No pain, just tingling. What is this? Arthritis??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Your symptoms could be due to nerve compression, vitamin B12 & D deficiency, calcium deficiency.
I would suggest to consult internal medicine specialist and undergo routine blood tests like CBC, ESR, CRP, RA factor, calcium, serum vitamin B12 and Vitamin D, Xray and MRI if needed.
Specific treatment depend on cause.
Meanwhile following treatment will help you:
Tablet DAN-MR
Tablet pregabalin
Tablet methycobalamin
Application of diclofenac gel
Apply warm pad application
Do not lie in affected side
Do regular exercise according to physiotherapist
Drink plenty of water and eat healthy diet
