What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Collar Bone?

Only my left side of my collar bone has felt pins and needles off and on for app. 6 months. This tingling radiates up the left side of my neck. What do you think it is. I have a very high incidence of heart attacks on both sides of my family. My sister just had a major heart attack at 59 this past Friday . Her widow maker artery was 100% blocked and her other large artery to her heart was 99% blocked. She only has 2 large arteries and 1 very small and docs told her she falls into 15% of people with this. I believed when this is happening it is just a slightly pinched nerve. Should I be more concerned? I am 61 yrs old white female.

Good Evening
Thanks for the info given. The symptoms you are having can be due to cervical spondylitis and/or spondylosis. It is most likely caused by age-related changes in the inter vertebral disks. It is generally caused by the compression of spinal nerves.Any compromise of the nerve space in the spinal column can lead to compression of the nerve endings and can cause the pain, numbness or tingling sensation. This occurs because of lumbar radiculopathy, spinal disc herniation, wear and tear or degeneration of the discs.
You need x-ray neck,CT scan or MRI of upper spine.Tests like electromyography and nerve conduction studies, certain blood tests, electro physiological studies are required to make the exact.
.I advise you to make an appointment with your doctor to know the exact cause & hence its treatment.
