What Causes Tingling Sensation In Sprained Ankle?

I sprained my ankle pretty bad four days ago playing soccer. I have been off of it for a few days and there has been some pain after being on it. Today I started to get a tingly feeling in the ankle and at some points it feels like other parts of my foot and even up my leg. Will it help to ice it and is it bad?

ice will help! keep your leg elevated and walk with two crutches for 10 days at least, without weighing on your injured ankle. if you don't walk on that leg, ask your doctor to take LMWH for that period (taking in consideration your age and possible risk factors for DVT, that I don't know)
