What Causes Tingling Sensation In Feet After A Leg Injury?

Hi, I fell on the stairs on Jan 5th my leg was in pain right away! I went to the doctors and they said I pulled my tentents. But know my foot is numb, it feels like I am stepping on something under my foot. I also get tingling pain in my foot. Should I be scared that something else is wrong or is this the healing process?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Did you have your x-ray done? If yes, was there any fracture?
Tingling sensation suggest irritation to a nerve. In absence of fracture, nerve injury should heal by itself and tingling would go away. But if there is fracture then this needs to be aligned and immobilized.
So if your doctor told you about ligament injury after watching your x-ray then there should not be a fracture.
If your X-ray was not done then it should be done.
Hope this will be helpful.
Take care.
