my boyfriend is a truck driver in an oil field in Montana. He has some 25 yrs experience driving a haz mat semi. He s heathly, about 160 lbs, 5 ft 5 or so, eats right, doesn t smoke or drink. He just called me really scared. He said that last night, I guess it started after work. His left arm started to tingle, starting in the arm pit. he said it went to his hand. he mostly felt it in his arm pit first and his hand and forearm. and his left leg felt numb and tingly. I asked him if it was like it feels when you get novacaine at the dentist. he said yes, exactly. He said he could feel that he was stepping on something or he could feel his finger touch his leg but not really. He could feel something but couldn t tell what was touching his leg (good thing he knew it was his own finger). This is scary. he drives an 80,000 lb truck with a .... well ... a whole bunch of wheels full of oil. Is this a nervous system thing? Should he see a doctor right away??
