Hello.
Thank you for asking at HCM.
I went through your history and would like to make following suggestions to you:
1.
Emphysema is very uncommon at 28 years of age.
2. Both emphysema and
pleurisy can be diagnosed by simple chest X-ray.
3. Pleurisy can be treated and cured with appropriate course of antibiotics.
4.
Asthma is common at his age. But only drinking water or walking 5 minutes causing difficulty is unusual.
So, in my opinion, it is best to
consult a pulmonologist who will examine him may suggest him investigations like chest X-ray, Ultrasonogram or
spirometry to reach to the diagnosis.
Once diagnosis is confirmed, appropriate treatment can be started.
Hope above suggestions will be help you & your husband.
Should you have any other query, please feel free to ask at HCM.
Wish your husband the best of the health.
Thank you & Regards.
