What Causes Tightness In Calf Along With Feet Numbness?

Good afternoon, I've been experiencing a lot of calf tightness and foot numbness when I run lately. I've tried different types of shoes, different lacing methods, running on treadmills and outdoors, but it all seems to come back to my calves being tight when I run and it causes my feet to fall asleep. I'm training for a half marathon for April and need to figure out a solution!

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have tightness in calf along with feet numbness . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sciatica , multiple sclerosis , herniated disc , supplements, B12 deficiency and neuropathy . If condition doesn't get better then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order certain tests like CT scan of back or blood test along with physical examination .Doctor may also order nerve conduction test . Doctor may prescribe supplement , physical therapy or stretching exercises . I would suggest you to keep your legs in hot water tub with epsom salt for 15 minutest daily , take light walk daily and eat healthy .Gentle massage with almond oil will be helpful.
