What Causes Throbbing Pain On The Left Side Of Neck?
Have a throbbing pain on left side of neck down into the muscle that runs from my neck to my shoulder....doesn t hurt all the way to my shoulder joint, but has one point that really hurts to push on, about two inches to the left of spine & three inches below the top of the shoulder muscle ,about to the top of my shoulder blade... I have a spine Doctor I can ask that gives me injections (steroid) for a ruptured disc , but doesn t usually hurt this bad.... I m sorry to get you involved & I have insurance .... My case is a owcp case been ongoing for 10 + years.... Bad disc is cervical 4-5 ( I think) I guess I ll just wait & talk to my dr .... Really hard to get one on one time with him though

Hi..
As you are having this ruptured disk problem this pain may be related to it.
You should have neck support with a soft cervical collar and pain relief with local or oral analgesics and try with a muscle relaxant with your doctor's prescription.
You also may need x ray cervical spine.
