Hello ma'am and welcome.

If a mammogram has cleared any suspicions of a growth or cancer, then we can go ahead with a hormone level check. Hormone abnormalities can be triggerred by various causes like stress, soon approaching menopause, infections, medications, disorders, etc. If at all your hormone levels do return an abnornal result, then the cause for the nipple sensitivity is clear. But we need to then go ahead and find the cause for the hormone imbalance. Discuss this with your doctor.

Best wishes.
