What Causes Throbbing In Head In Temple Area?

The left side of my head around the temple area feels like it's throbing. I was in walmart and felt like I was tilting to the left. I came home to rest, and felt better lying down. I got up and felt the throbing. I started to exercise and felt better. There is no pain, nausea, back pain. It's throbing right now without pain.

Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

This may be a feature of migraine. A throbbing headache is typical to a migraine. The migraine may be associated with other features like photophobia, phonophobia, nausea or vomitting. However it is not always that the associated symptoms develop. Sometimes, only headache may occur. Or individual symptoms may occur on their own.

The similar complaints, especially in view of the symptom of disbalance may also occur in a few srokes especially cerebellar.
However, I dont think this latter diagnosis is much possible.

Still the possibility needs to be checked for sure. So I suggest an MRI of the brain.

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further.

I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.

Please do understand that some details could be extracted from a detailed history and examination.

Please feel free to ask another query. I would be glad to help you. Looking forward to your return query with the details asked so that I can help you further.
