my throat is hurting on the left side and when i put my toothbrush down my throa a bit and pull it back out it had a lil blood on there, it hurts when i swallow but just on the left side. I had frosted flakes the day before when it started and seeds with shells april 1st so im not sure whats wrong?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Having seeds with shells and frosted flakes can cause injury in the throat. Bleeding on brushing the back side, pain on left side of throat and neck can be due to the following reasons: Cancer in advanced stage on the inside of left side of throat. Oral ulcer of trauma nature. I would advise you the following: Take an opinion of an ENT Surgeon and insist on endoscopy and biopsy if cancer is suspected. Ultrasound or better MRI of the throat and neck. FNAC if cancer is suspected or lymph nodes are enlarged. A course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medications if the lesion is benign. Oral gargles. Plenty of fluids orally. Further management as per the reports.
