What Causes Throat Pain With Chills And Body Ache?

I want to know what I have.......My throat started hurting Friday evening. By night time It had worsen.....body aches,chills,throat hurting even more...hard to swallow. So I went into the E.R. To get seen. Thinking I had strep throat.....but test came back negative. They gave me some pain meds......But since then I m still feeling sick......body aches and chills have worsen. Having dizzy spell and now chest pains when I talk,cough,when I get up from bed or blow my nose.

Hi

One of the common cause of throat infection is viral flu or common cold

If I were your treating doctor would have prescribed Brufen and Paracetomol combination to treat your chills and body pains and would have told you consume a cough syrup which has antihastamine and expectorant

Try to take sufficient rest and do steam inhalation with a decongestant Karvol plus for atleast three times daily

Avoid Tea - as it is a brochodilator and may aggravate the condition


Do not exercise for next seven days as it may aggravate the condition. However slow walking after the dinner is ok
