Expectorant cough syrups can be tried to clear up mucus and secretions. 6.Take voice rest for a week and avoid cold and spicy food. If symptoms persist despite additional investigations like throat swab and indirect laryngoscopy (to visualize your vocal cord) may be needed under the consultation of an ENT specialist.
