What Causes Throat Pain After Laryngitis?

My throat has been hurting on and off for over a month. Sometimes the pain is severe, other times just an ach. This came after having a severe case of laryngitis. The laryngitis came from a bacterial sinus infection. For two whole weeks I tried to talk but could only whisper. It took a steroid shot to get my voice back and my doctor has put me on another steroid, and two different antibiotics at different point during this past month and a half. My throat has not gotten better at all. This worries me. I have been wondering if the laryngitis has caused problems with my throat. I also have had little bumps on the back of my tongue, throat, and tonsils but they have been there for years. Could you please five me any ideas on what the problem is? Thanks.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

From your history there can be two possibilities , One is a persistence of infection in your sinuses , which is trickling down your throat and the second one may be due to acid reflux from your stomach. Please dont ignore this and meet your ent doctor , he will examine you and guide you further. Meanwhile you can start gargling with warm sat water 2-3 times a day.

Thanks
