What Causes Throat Infection?

I tested positive for strep was taking amoxicillin 500mg for 2 days I felt better, the all of a sudden my throat started to close and get very sore again--wen to express care today I tested positive for mono-and I am still testing positive for strep new medication augmentin 800 mg I am 53 yrs old also I was bit by a spider in june and was in the hosp for 4 days from the bite I then developed mersa is all this connected????

Throat infection is because of bacterial or viral infections. In your case it is probably because of decreased immunity caused by mono nucleosis infection following it you have developed infection by staphylococci.
The treatment of the condition is by use of antibiotics according to the culture and sensitivity.
