What Causes Thin, White And Milky Discharge From Vagina?
I have been treated for syphillis, gonorrhea and chlamydia with some antibiotics and other pills about a month ago. The doctor was not sure I had it but they gave it to me anyway because I told them I had just became sexually active around april. However my discharge is still thin, white and kind of milky with somewhat of an interesting smell. I am just curious what I should do or what this could be?
Hi. Thin, milky discharge can be physiological (normal) for many women. This discharge usually has a benign smell or is odorless. it could also be a result of the effect of antibiotics on the commensals (friendly bacteria) living inside you. When infected, the discharge may become heavier, darker in color and stronger smelling. Some women may experience discomfort and itching. Some may not experience any symptoms despite being infected. As you have become sexually active, it is best you undergo a Pap smear examination and have your practitioner perform a per speculum examination. Please practise safe sex. thank you
