What Causes Thighs Sore, Crunchy On Bending Knee After Treated For Femur Bone Fracture?
Hi I am a 30 year old female. I was in a car accident back in 2003 where I broke my femur bone and I have now a rod and screws. I have started to excuse and I was doing lunges and my thighs were sore for about 4-5 days. About a week after that I notice that when I go down stairs or bend my knee it sounds really crunchy. I don't have any pain in my knee what so ever, sometimes I might feel a dull ache but other then that nothing. I also seem to notice that after a shower or when I push down on my knee with my weight it feels stiff or heavy. I have notice that on the side of my knee I have a soft area not sure if its fluid or a lump or what buts it soft and I can feel something move inside it. but like I said I have no pain.
You should consult your orthopaedic surgeon. He will fo your physical examination and advise you xray of both knees standing in AP view and xray of operated thigh in AP and Lateral view.
Then after analysing his findings and report of xrays he would be able to make your proper diagnosis.
I hope you have got your answer.
Thanks.
Dr.Singh.
