What Causes Thick/white Substance On Toilet Paper After Intercourse During Pregnancy?

I m 33 weeks pregnant with my second child. I had sex this morning with my husband and have used the bathroom several times this morning. It s been about 2-3 hours and just now when I went to the bathroom when i wiped there was about a 1t-spoon of a very thick and white and substance left on the toilet paper. It reminded me a lot of cottage cheese but not as white and thicker. Should I be concerned. Was this just due to having sex?

Hi, thanks for writing..
Is it associated with itching? If so it can be due to infection.. vaginitis and requires treatment with antifungals. If no itching, it can be the mucus plug plug coming out. Take rest for a day. if discharge decreases nothing needs to be done. Ongoing discharge requires consultation with your doc to see the length of cervix. It is better to avoid sex after 28 weeks as there is greater chances of infection. Hope I have answered your query. Good day.
