Hello,
During the reproductive age, there is always some amount of white vaginal discharge and the amount and consistency varied depending on the phase of the menstrual cycle. During the period of ovulation and just before the onset of a period, you can notice watery discharge which is profuse, while the rest of the time it is lesser in amount. It is thicker during the proliferative phase of the menstrual cycle while it is thin during the secretory phase. If at any time the discharge is profuse and associated with itching and/or burning, infection must be suspected. Hope this helps.
