What Causes Thick Scaly Patches On Lower Legs And Back While Using Levothyroxine?

I have been taking levothyroxine for about four months now and have developed thick scaly patches on my lower legs and back. I also have small pustules on my scalp. Is the levothyroxine causing this? BTW I am also allergic to sulfa drugs. Is there a connection?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your symptoms of scaly patches on the leg and the back of your body following usage of levothyroxine I am suggesting you have developed a hypersensitivity skin reaction from the drug and this is one of the side effects of those using levothyroxine
In view of this please see a dermatologist specialist for further expect clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription I hope this helps
