What Causes The Stool To Be Black?

I was out with friends today and had quite a bit to drink. I'm lightweight, and it is fairly easy for me to get tipsy. I drank and entire "4loko" which is both an energy and alcohol beverage. I took this on an empty stomach, with the exception of my morning meds which consist of Adderall, Wellbutrin, and Lexapro. I know there are concerns when drinking on anti-depressants. But I drink responsibly, in the rare even that I do drink. I also consumed a marijuana brownie and smoked weed afterwards. I am concerned with my stool, as I do not usually need to use the restroom
at night. My evening trip to the restroom tonight was accompanied by severe cramps, (note I have also been diagnosed with IBS), however I don't believe it was a result of just my diet but rather the alcohol. My stool was black and was dirrhea like. My question is, should I be concerned? This has never happened to me, and I am beginning to grow more worried by the second.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Black stools means there is malena and there is bleeding anywhere in the gastrointestinal tract.
The consumption of alcoholic beverage might be the instigating factor causing severe gastritis or an ulcer.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get an urgent upper GI Endoscopy and colonoscopy to find out the possible cause of malena.
Also needed will be tests of blood, urine and stool.
Ultrasonography of abdomen.
Continue your Medication of Adderal, Wellbutrin and LExapro.
Take a PPI like Omeprazole, antacid and take only liquid diet.
Once the diagnosis is certain then obviously the management will be as per the findings.
