What Causes The Legs And Feet To Swell And Turn Dark?

HI. I am a man 85 years old, very active, dance 4 hours a week. The past 3 years I am getting swelling in my legs and feet. The top of my feet are getting dark, like blood vessels bruse. My veins in top of feet are gone, the feet are slightly swollen, had to buy new shoes one full size larger. When I sit on a chair, the large muscle on back of leg starts

really hurting bad and it follows to the bottom of my feet, especially my right side. I need to get up and walk around to help relieve the pain. Due to this, I stand up 70% of my time. When I go to bed I take a tylenal

maybe sleep for 2 hours, then my leg starts to hurt like throbbing all the way to the bottom of my feet, can't put both legs together, it hurts.I have been to DRS but nobody seems to get the message. M R I s indicate some stenosis but what does that have to do with blood flow ,

veins growing and acking, feet swelling and turnig black??

My name is BOB NEWTON, Any new ideas wolud be WELCOME.

Stenosis means that the blood vessels to your legs are narrowed. It sounds like you are not getting enough blood flow to your legs. I suggest that you see a vascular surgeon for evaluation and treatment.
