Hello. I am a 58 year old male in excellent health. Today I experienced right testicle acute pain. I have been noticing a bad odor while I am urinating. This has been going on for several weeks. I went to the doctor and he ordered Urine and blood work, both were negative. I also have an L4-5 S1 herniation with right side radiculopathy. The pain has since subsided. What could be causing this? Regards Tom
HI Well come to HCM If this is not manifesting any other symptoms like fever, headache, vomiting, then this might be due to low water intake, try to drink more water, if this comes around, if this does not then you need to get done the urine analysis, and this need to be treated accordingly, hope this information help, take care have a nice day.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of sudden testicular pain, normal blood and urine tests. Radiculopathy at lower lumbar and S1 ca not cause this. It is possible that there is a local problem like orchitis, epididymitis, partial torsion, varicolcele and so on. Hence the investigations of choice is ultrasonography of the scrotum with color doppler study. Consult an Urologist or a General Surgeon. He would evaluate you clinically with proper examination and plan for further investigations and treatment.
