What Causes Tender Nipples With Milky Discharge?

Well I have very sore and tinder nipples and if I squeeze them I get a little milk drop that comes out. I m not pregnant but I have been pregnant years ago my child is now 14 so how is it that I have milk? And why all of a sudden do they hurt? I m 36 now

Hi dear and thanks for your query.

This issue is called bilateral galactorrhea and the most common reason for it is prolactionoma or benign tumor that cause increase of a hormone called prolactin.
Prolactin is is responsible for milky discharge from your both breast .

Get a consult with an endocrinologist with a prolactin level done .
If it is increased you may need for treatment.
If it is decreased than doctor should explore for another reason.
