two symmetrical red bumps have appeared on my arm , I noticed them while I was in school . My mom had also said she had the exact same two symmetrical red bumps but they were on her leg or thigh. Could someone please tell what it is and what caused it ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

If you post photo of lesion and if exact size mentioned than specific diagnosis can be given

This red bump could be from superficial bacterial infection or secondary to insect bite...

According to cause specific treatment prescribed

If it seems bacterial than topical neomycin like antibiotic cream prescribed

If lesion very small like that less than one cm size than no need for worry regarding that

Consult dermatologist for examination of lesion..

Take care

Hope your concern solved
