For the past few days, I've had pain in my right nostril/tip of my nose.
I am not congested, nor have I been. I suffer from sinus infections, yet have not felt any pain or pressure as of late. I have not sustained any trauma to the nose or face. I live in the Midwest where it's been very cold and dry. I don't usually suffer from nosebleeds but when the pain started yesterday, I blew my nose and a small amount of blood came out.
My nostril is now swollen, red, and very tender to the touch. Seems to be blocking airflow, but just slightly. I have taken aspirin and applied a warm compress which helps with the pain. I have also had a low grade headache on the right side of my face, on and off. There does not appear to be a pimple (either inside my nose or outside, on the nostril) and the pain seems to be located more so on the outside of my nostril, not the inside.
This flared up 2 weeks ago, lasted a handful of days, and then my nose went back to normal. This time, it has been much more red and swollen and far more painful.
