What Causes Swollen Testicle, Brown Colored Semen And Fever?

Hello, About a year and a half ago to two years ago, I had a swollen left testicle, with tenderness/pain, brown semen, and a pretty intense fever. I also had a uti. I went and got tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea (which came back negative), had a Rocephin shot and got put on doxycycline for ten days. The symptoms went away and haven t been back since. I need to know what it could have possibly been because there is concern that it could have been an sti in a current relationship, and that is causing some problems. Thanks You.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
After reading your post, you had suffered from 'epididymo-orchitis' on left side. It is nothing but infection of your left testis.
This can sometime happen from organisms of urinary tract, when they enter genital tract.
You have been rightly covered with antibiotics. Hence you need not worry as you haven cured.
You need to give scrotal support and abstain from having intercourse at least for a month, till the infection fully resolves.
Not to worry much about it. All the best.
