What Causes Swollen Scrotum Post Renal Transplant?

My husband just had a renal transplant on September 3, 2015 from a live donor (sister) and everything has been going extremely well. He noticed yesterday that his scrotum has swelled. What does this mean and is it a cause for concern. No pain or fever, just swelling in the scrotum.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi
there is no relation of renal transplant to scrotal swelling.
the scrotal swelling could be on its own if the rest of the body is not swollen like legs, face or tummy.
would suggest let your husband be done a scrotal ultrasound to rule out a hydrocele.
you can elevate the scrotum when asleep by putting pillows under it.
warm water compresses could also help.
you can take him for a review to his doctor as well.
hope to have answered your query.
thanks and takecare.
