What Causes Swollen Perineal Tendon?

The area around my perineal tendon is VERY swollen and has a lumpy feeling. It hurts to walk or stand for extended periods of time. Doctor said I had perineal or fibularis tendinitis, but I m not sure. I m a runner and pronate a lot due to my flat feet. I ve tried running after a couple days of rest and it feeling better, but ended up collapsing on my second step into the run. It hurts to relax the leg because the dead weight of my foot hurts it even more, so I have to keep it at a 90 or less degree angle for it to be comfortable. What do you think it is and what should I do?

Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that you are having perineal tendinitis as the area of these tendons has been swollen. Treatment of it is rest to the joint, stop running till pain subsides. Analgesic such as ibuprofen are useful for pain relief. Vitamin B and C help in recovery. You can discuss with your Doctor about it. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
