Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Swollen Nipples With White Pus Discharge?
Yes please. My left nipple has been swollen and extremely painful. For the first two days, i was able to squeeze it, and a white puss like discharge (like when you pop a pimple). Today it is even more swollen and is too painful for me to squeeze. I am not pregnant. Please help!
I would suggest you to consult a Gynaecologist and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical evaluation and also advise investigations like Mammography, Ultrasound, microscopic examination of the discharge, if it is confirmed to be pus then pus culture can be done for confirmation..
In case of infection antibiotics can resolve it completely.. In case of abscess drainage will be required along with antibiotics and painkillers..
Other conditions will be treated as per diagnosis..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
