What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Groin?

I have swollen lymph nodes only in the right groin. I don t have any other symptoms. I had a biopsy yesterday and I am scared. Is it always something serious if the lymph nodes in the groin swell? I am a 52 year old female. The only health problem I have is asthma.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Nothing to worry, any local infection in nearby area might produce enlarge inguinal lymph nodes.
There might be possibility of having some infection in lower genital tract or ingrown hair follicle infection or yeast infection.
Keep local hygiene clean, dry and airy.
Go for treatment of any infection locally.
Ok and take care.
