What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In Neck?

i am 41 yrs old. i am in good health and weigh 10st 2lbs. i always seem to have swollen lymph nodes on the right side of my neck but they dont really give me any problems. i think that is probably normal for me, however over the past two or three days i am experincing a bruised feeling on the front left side of my throat/neck area. it is painful to touch. i dont have any difficulty in breathing but it feels as if there is pressure there.i am going to the gp tomorrow.have you any idea what it is? my neck does not appear swollen.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here, I could say that this could be a lymph node the cervical lymph node some time became fairly visible without the specific reason in such case it should be kept under observation, for something to happened like swelling, tenderness, fever, if nothing like that ever happened then no need to worry about this, have a nice day.
