What Causes Swollen Lymph Node With Sore Throat?

Hi. A week ago I woke up with swollen lymph nodes and a severly sore throat and was unable to speak. I was taking keflex prophylacticly for a laser treTment I had done on my chest. As the week went on, I felt I was getting better than about 3 days ago I took a turn for the worse. I went to my primary care yesterday with Green phlegm (in nose and coughing up) lethargy, exhaustion, shortness of breath and stiffneck. He put my on an inhaler,Biaxin, cough syrup and Tramadol. This morning I awoke with an extreme headache on left temple and above left eye, and feel even worse. I have no fever but my resting heartrate is faster than normal (88) overall I just feel horrific. I m supposed to leave for a 3 week European trip this Saturday (4 days from now) shouldn t this be better by now? Shall I go back to the dr or ER for IV antibiotics?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
Looks like you are suffering from tonsillitis along with lower respiratory tract infection. Headache may be attributed to sinusitis.
It is certain that there is antibiotic resistance for keflex. Please go to your doctor, get blood investigations done and take throat and nasal swabs for culture sensitivity testing. have to start antibiotic accordingly.

i am open for more queries
Thanks and regards
