What Causes Swollen Lymph Node In Groin?

I HAVE A SWOLLEN LYMPH NODE ON THE RIGHT INNER SIDE OF MY GROIN,IT HAS BEEN THERE FOR 2YRS.iT WOULD ONLY BOTHER ME IF i PUSHED ON IT,NOW IT'S HURTING ALL THE TIME N HURTING DOWN MY LEG.iT'S ABOUT THE SIZE OF WALNUT.wHAT COULD CAUSE THIS N WHAT TYPE OF DOCTOR SHOULD i SEE.mY DR. AT 1ST THOUGHT IT WAS A FEMORAL HERNIA N FOUND OUT IT WASNT N JUST SAID IT WAS A LYMPH NODE,HAVEN'T BEEN BACK SINCE N IT HAS GROWN IN SIZE SINCE THAT VISIT.

Causes for groin swelling are lymph nodes , hernia , dilated veins at the groin.

Clinical examination and ultrasound will determine the cause of swelling.

Lymph node enlargement at the groin is common as there will be repeated infection of the leg, like even walking barefootcan cause without apparent infection.
So repeated infection causes persistence of the size of the lymph node and its progression.
