What Causes Swollen Lymph Node, Abdominal Pain And Nausea In A 9 Year Old?

my daughter is 9 yrs old. she has had abdominal pain, nausea, mild diarrhea and occasional vomiting for about 5 months. She developed a swollen lymph node behind her ear about a month ago and it hasnt gone away yet. her pediatrician doesnt seem to be concerned. what should I do?

Hi,
Since, your child has pain abdomen for 5 months possibility of chronic infection like tuberculosis is very much, also renal stones or urinary tract infection can also cause chronic pain abdomen. Swollen lymph nodes points to infective cause. If I was treating you i would have liked to do some investigations like CBC with ESR, mountoux test, urine routine microscopy and culture, ultrasound abdomen and X ray KUB. I suggest you to do the above investigations as soon as possible as they are necessary for diagnosis.
