What Causes Swollen Gland On Neck, Ear Pain And Difficulty In Swallowing?

I am a 19 yr old female who weighs 140 lbs and stand at a height of being 5'2". I have no serious medical history besides having the flu. Just yesterday I woke up to a swollen gland on the left side of my neck, the painful task of swallowing, and the painful feeling in my left ear when i do swallow. I don't know what this could be.
