What Causes Swollen Feet Despite Taking Water Pill And Tetanus In A Diabetic?

My mother who is type 2 diabetic and suffered a stroke in 2014 fell about two weeks ago. She is 76 years of age and the swelling in her legs and feet has not gone down. Her doctor gave her anti-biotics, doubled her water pill intake and gave her a tetanus shot. What actions should we take at this point?

Hi,
During acute stress level of glucose increases and hence need of insulin also.
You need to check her blood glucose level and accordingly start her on insulin.
Also if there is a open wound over leg then do culture and sensitivity of the discharge from wound and accordingly give antibiotic.
