What Causes Swollen Face After Sleeping On A Vinyl Sofa?

I put my head down on a vinyl sofa for the second time today. I woke up after an hour and saw my face bloated. Coul I be allergic to vinyl? I was in the hospital yesterday, because I had rested on the sofa, as evening approached and went to bed, I got up with stomach pains. Ran to the bathroom, and released myself, then fainted/blacked out. I went to the hospital. Couldn't diagnose what the problem was. I was given cortizone. After night stay, I went home. This afternoon I wanted to rest on the sofa and my face swelled up, itchyness began. I took another antihistamine and am waiting to see results. It doesn't make sense to be allergic to vinyl, unless housekeeper cleans it with something other than water. if someone can make sense of this I'd really appreciate it.

The swollen face can be secondary to the dust over the sofa or any insect bite or to vinyl(very rare). Nothing to be panic, consult a general physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can continue to take antihistamines like cetrizine.
