General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi ....
this could be either Stye or Blepheritis (infection of eyelids).
both conditions mimic each other.
Antibiotic are of not much use if it is a stye. Hot fomentation can relieve your symtoms to a greater extent. If it fails then removing pus under aseptic precaution is the best treatment for Stye.
Antibiotic eye drops are useful in case of Blepheritis.
When this condition is resolved its very important to take care of your eyelid on a regular basis. Because these conditions often recur.
Regularly clean the eyelid margin using baby shampoo which doesnt irritate eyes.
Hope this helped. take care.
